The Siluva Day Center, part of the eponymous civil association with legal status, was founded in 1993 to address a vital need in Villa Elisa: providing a space for people with intellectual disabilities, many of whom are socioeconomically disadvantaged and lack access to resources or guidance regarding their rights.

At Siluva, we work with each person in comprehensively , prioritizing respect and guided by a philosophy that places LOVE at the heart of our values. We are convinced that by revaluing the spiritual dimension of human beings, we strengthen their psychological and physical capacities.

Our approach to disability is based on the Promotion and empowerment of people as subjects of law , enhancing their skills, interests, and abilities. We promote the integration and inclusion of our youth in the community, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to fully participate in society.

We recognize that disability arises from the interaction between the individual and their environment. Obstacles, barriers, and social norms are the true impediments to personal development and full participation. Therefore, our challenge is to provide services focused on the needs of each person and build an inclusive society that adapts its structure to benefit all its members.
